We give you two cards – your main card and a physical card - that are both tied to your WisdomTree Prime account. This way, you have the tools necessary to:
- Spend online safely
- Minimize the disruption when you lose a card, or in case your card or card number is stolen
Your main card can be added to your Apple or Google wallet. If you’d like, we’ll also send you a physical card, primarily for use in an ATM.
When you have a physical card, there is always a danger that it can be lost or stolen (or just the number can be stolen). If that ever happens, we can turn it off for you – and better yet, you can cancel and replace it yourself directly from the WisdomTree Prime app.
For online shopping and subscriptions (things like streaming services and your cell phone bill), you use your main card. Then, if your physical card is ever lost or stolen, you don’t have to worry about updating your online merchants.
On the other hand, online merchants are hacked occasionally – or maybe you give your card information to a merchant over the phone, and it is used without your approval. If that ever happens, you can change to a new main card in the WisdomTree Prime app, and your new card will be ready to use right away. And if that happens, you don’t have to throw away your physical card and wait for a new one to arrive in the mail.
With your main card and physical card, you have tools and choices to help minimize the trouble and inconvenience when things outside your control go wrong.
